Case Studies – How Crackerjack made a difference
To show you some of businesses we work for and the services we offer, we’ve listed a specific case study below.
Robran International had a small business server that was well overdue for replacement (10 years old) and workstations that still had Windows XP operating systems. Robran's server provided their file sharing and email server services so they contacted Crackerjack to provide alternatives to replace this ageing hardware with new technology.
They wanted to be able to access email and data across iPhones and iPads anywhere in the world as well as provide home working compatibility. In addition, any infrastructure had to work with their industry-specific database solution to ensure that all staff had maximum up-time to the program.
Finally, Robran International wanted an off-site backup solution to ensure maximum redundancy for their critical business data and applications.
Crackerjack provided a Synology NAS (Network Attached Storage) for their business critical file sharing. This allowed Robran International to easily share their company resources to the appropriate staff members and ensuring that their key data was secure.
A second Synology NAS was already in place at the Director's home, so the file syncing feature was implemented on the office storage to backup all data to the Director's home nightly.
Crackerjack also managed the creation and migration of the Robran's emails to a new cloud-based Office 365 email service to alleviate the need for an in-house mail server. An upgrade to the latest Microsoft Office software was undertaken to provide the latest version.
Finally, Crackerjack provided new IT hardware and Windows Operating System upgrades to Windows 7 to standardise all computers across the office.
